Everything you need to know about uploading and managing photos in Story Mode.
How do I upload photos?
Once prompted within the Story Mode chat, tap the Photos icon in the bottom-right of the chat to add photos from your device. If you’ve already moved past the photo upload stage, you’ll have to restart the Story Mode experience to upload again.
How do I add more photos?
Tap the Photos icon in the bottom-right of the chat to upload more photos. If the icon is no longer available, you can restart Story Mode, or add more photos later in Mixbook Studio™ after Story Mode finishes creating your book.
How do I remove photos?
Tap the Photos icon in the bottom-right of the chat, then press and hold a photo until you see white selection circles in the bottom left of each photo. Check off the photos you'd like to remove and once all are selected, click "remove" in the bottom right hand corner. If the icon is no longer available, you can remove photos later in Mixbook Studio™.
Can I upload photos from multiple sources at once like my device, Google Photos, iCloud or Dropbox?
Not at this time. You can only upload from the photos stored directly on your device.
Is there a minimum or maximum photo limit to use Story Mode?
You’ll need at least 20 photos to get started and there is no specific maximum photo count. However, larger photo sets can take longer to upload and process. For best results, choose the photos that are most relevant to the story you want to tell, rather than uploading every similar photo from an event.
Can I upload videos?
No, Story Mode only supports photos right now.
Can I scan or photograph physical photos?
Yes, you can take a photo of a printed photo, then upload it. But for the best results, it’s recommended to scan your photos first and upload them.
Can I add more photos after Story Mode creates my book?
Yes, just open your project in Mixbook Studio™ and add more photos there.
Can I undo deleting a photo?
You can’t undo deleting a photo in Story Mode, but you can add photos later in Mixbook Studio™.
Can I remove a photo after my book is created?
Yes, you can remove photos later in Mixbook Studio™, or start over and leave them out.
Why does uploading or generating my book take some time?
Story Mode reviews your photos, creates story options, generates covers, and builds book designs. Larger uploads, cellular connections, and very similar photo sets may take longer. Keeping the app open and using a strong Wi-Fi connection can help.
If using the Mixbook app, can I leave the app while photos are uploading?
For best results, keep the app open until the upload is complete. Switching apps, locking your phone, or moving between connections may slow down or interrupt the upload depending on your device and connection.
