A "Saving Error" can happen if your project is left open for a long time, opened on multiple devices and/or opened on multiple tabs at the same time.
Not to worry—here are a few steps to help you get back on track and protect your progress.
Quick Fix: Re-login on a New Tab
- While keeping your Mixbook Studio tab open, open a new browser tab and go to: https://www.mixbook.com/account/login
- Log in to your account (if you’re not already).
- From your account dashboard, click “Edit” next to the project experiencing the error.
- When the project opens in a new tab and displays the front cover, close that new tab.
- Return to the original Mixbook Studio tab and try clicking “Save” again.
Still Not Working? Use the Cross-Project Clipboard Workaround
If saving still fails, you can transfer your project contents to a new one:
- Keep the project with the saving issue open in Mixbook Studio.
- Start a new project in another tab.
- Select all elements on a page in the original project.
Copy and paste using keyboard shortcuts:
Windows:
Ctrl + Cto copy,Ctrl + Vto pasteMac:
Command + Cto copy,Command + Vto paste
- Repeat for each page you’d like to move.
🔔 Heads up: This method transfers photos, text, and stickers only—you’ll need to reapply backgrounds manually.
