Helpful tips on Photo Uploading

Slow Uploading Progress?

1. Upload in Smaller Batches

  • Large file sizes can slow down the process. Try uploading high-resolution photos in smaller batches.
  • Too many photos at once? Depending on your internet speed, uploading 50 photos or fewer at a time can improve performance.

2. Check Your Internet Connection

  • Visit Speedtest.net and click "Go" to check your speed.
  • Look for your Upload Speed—it should be at least 1 Mbps for a smooth experience.
  • Improve your connection by:
    • Closing other browser tabs.
    • Pausing any ongoing downloads.
    • Using a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi.

Missing Photo Dates? Here’s What to Do

Try These Solutions:

  • Upload as You Go: If photos are missing dates, upload them one page at a time while working on your project.
  • Sort by "Date Added": This helps organize your photos when original dates are unavailable.
  • Find Photos with Missing Dates: Any photos with unknown dates will appear at the bottom of your photo tray under "Unknown Date."

Photos Failing to Upload? Here's Why & How to Fix It

1. Find the Problem Photo

  • Check the "Upload Queue" in the Upload Window to identify any failed photos.

Common Reasons Photos Fail to Upload:

Unsupported File Type

  • Mixbook supports JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, WEBP, BMP, HEIF, HEIC, and more.
  • If your file type isn’t supported, convert it to JPG or JPEG before uploading.

Corrupted File

  • If the file doesn’t open or shows a broken image, it may be corrupted. Check this guide to try recovering it.

Unstable Internet Connection

  • Ensure your upload speed is at least 1 Mbps.
  • Improve your connection by:
    • Closing unused tabs.
    • Pausing other downloads.
    • Restarting your router or using a wired connection.

Low-Resolution Photos? Avoid Blurry Prints

Tips to Fix Low-Resolution Images:

✔ Avoid Compressed Photos – Social media and email may reduce quality.
Use Original Files – If possible, upload the original file rather than a downloaded or compressed version.
